I Met With A Songwriting Partner Today

I met with my new songwriting partner Michelle Aspen today at a coffee shop to discuss a songwriting partnership. We shared much, we talked music. I felt like a met an old friend.

We're working on wrapping up a song that I wrote music to her lyrics. I've never done that before. She posted them in a text, and I worked on the music in the hotel room at night after running an excavator all day for a couple of weeks. Trying to form music from the cadence of the lyrics is interesting. The patterns are there. The theme emerged and it went from there.

Michelle liked the result, and we're working on the final pieces of the composition.
